Welcome to Keppler OCR. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and OCR services (collectively referred to as the "Service") operated by Keppler OCR ("us", "we", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password.

You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

3. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Keppler OCR and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Keppler OCR.

4. User Content

Your Rights in Your Content

You retain your rights to any content you submit, post, or display on or through the Service ("User Content"). By submitting, posting, or displaying User Content on or through the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content in connection with providing the Service.

Content Restrictions

You agree that you will not upload, post, or transmit any User Content that:

  • Violates any local, state, national, or international law
  • Infringes on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property rights
  • Contains software viruses or any other computer code designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware
  • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable

Our Rights Over User Content

We reserve the right to monitor, edit, or remove content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or may harm the reputation of the Service.

5. OCR Service

Service Description

Keppler OCR provides an optical character recognition (OCR) service that allows users to extract text from images and PDF documents. The accuracy of the OCR results depends on various factors, including but not limited to the quality of the uploaded document, clarity of text, and document formatting.

Use Limitations

Our free service is subject to the following limitations:

  • Maximum file size: 10MB per document
  • Maximum number of pages: 25 pages per document
  • Daily upload limit: 20 documents per day
  • Supported file formats: JPG, PNG, PDF

Premium service limitations vary according to the subscription plan. Please refer to our pricing page for details.

Document Storage

Unless you are a premium user who has opted for extended storage, documents processed by our Service are stored for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted from our systems.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service:

  • In any way that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • To engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Service
  • To attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or computer systems
  • To engage in automated data collection (scraping)
  • To impersonate or attempt to impersonate Keppler OCR, an employee, another user, or any other person or entity
  • To engage in any other conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Service

7. Subscriptions and Payment

Subscription Plans

We offer various subscription plans for our Service, including a free tier and premium options. Details of all plans are available on our pricing page.

Payment Terms

For premium plans:

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • Payments are non-refundable
  • There will be no refunds for partial months of service or for periods where your account was not used

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. If you cancel, you will not receive a refund for any service already paid for, but you will continue to have access to the service until the end of your current billing period.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or delete your account.

9. Limitation Of Liability

In no event shall Keppler OCR, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

10. Disclaimer

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.

Keppler OCR does not warrant that:

  • The Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected
  • The results of using the Service will meet your requirements
  • The quality of OCR, information, or other material obtained through the Service will meet your expectations

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
